ARTISTS STATEMENT

Since childhood, I have always been told - "Cover up, close the curtains so that no one sees you, don't send photos of your body anywhere, because it's embarrassing". Then you grow up, you see lustful glances on yourself and generally stop feeling that the body belongs to you. And am I my body? No, it's also my soul, feelings. The body is a protective shell that needs to be protected and loved. You can show it to others and not pursue sexual goals, you can just be free without clothes. Society has imposed standards and ideals on us, but every body is unique and beautiful and we should appreciate it and love ourselves.
