ARTISTS STATEMENT
I've been drawn to showing off my body for a long time - even before I felt worthy of sharing it with anyone. I feel most comfortable when I'm nude, since my frame is particularly different to most people and means that clothes that are 'standard size' don't look quite right on me due to a genetic condition. I prefer to be seen fully as I am, instead of looking out-of-sorts under some fabric that was designed for someone else. In that sense, I've always enjoyed sharing nude photos with people who I've become close to - an attempt to step away from the taboo of "sexts" or "nudes" as a dirty secret to be hidden away. One day I'd like to be able to experience being at a nudist colony, at least once, or get to pose as a life drawing model; fully letting go of the barriers of hiding behind clothes that feel 'appropriate' or that hide my insecurities.

ARTIST PROFILE
birthplace: Brighton, Australia
occupation: Bartender
age: 30
height: 5 foot 3
relationship status: Single
starsign: Libra
biggest passion in my life: Connecting with people - it's as simple as that. I get anxious and nervous about interactions a lot, but I work in hospitality and every day I'll find some small connection with somebody that I never expected. It's the perfect way to see the fascinating patterns that so many of us share without knowing
I like to listen to: Overall I tend towards lofi, grungy and melancholy - often very simplistic with bass/guitar, drums and a low-voiced, throaty singer. I love to hear an attitude or atmosphere in my music
I like to watch: My go-to viewing is usually dark, either British-style black comedy (Garth Marenghi's Darkplace) or psychological (Silence of the Lambs), but also goofy anime
I like to smell: A particular cologne that smells like 'cola bottle' lollies, vanilla or apples. Otherwise outdoorsy scents, like fresh cut grass; musty, damp earth in rainforests; or smokey logs from a camp
I like to taste: I love salty and sour tastes - so even though it sounds simple, but a margarita cocktail is the perfect example. Salted rim, puckering lime, tequila heat, a dash of sweetness
I like to feel: The feeling of warm water on my skin will always be my favourite - something is so soothing and delicious about a warm bath, or dappled rain on a humid day
favourite part of my body: My thighs are my favourite part, actually - mostly because of my tattoos. After I got ink done, I started really appreciating my legs in a way I'd never seen them before. They're smooth, strong and colourful - something I'm proud to have as part of me
favourite part of someone else's body: I love shoulders and necks - they're my favourite places to kiss. I don't know how to explain it, but they're just a bit close, intimate and beautiful
Why i shot myself: I've been re-exploring my sexuality and comfort levels across the past few years, and found myself remembering that I feel so much more comfortable while naked and seen. There are few places where that combination is allowed, so I'm thrilled to be able to express myself and share my body on this platform.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: Absolutely any of the high profile politicians still kicking around - eg. Trump, Putin, Scott Morrison or Tony Abbott (ugh)
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: I've actually got a couple of friends who I've known since we were kids that I'd love to see let loose - they have gorgeous bodies that they worry about and hide, and just once I'd love to see them enjoy the freedom of self-shots
Most outrageous thing I have done: I have an embarrassing amount of outrageous stories, but I accidentally sat on a 70 year old woman on the tram once and I will never live it down
Bands I like: Cherry Glazerr, Good Morning, Purity Ring, Car Seat Headrest, Vulfpeck, toe, Atmosphere, Clipping, Hail Mary Mallon (Rob Sonic/Aesop Rock), Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Unknown Mortal Orchestra... and also a majority of the Punk Goes Pop albums. I could go on, but this is heaps already
Books I like: Sci-fi novels are my jam, in particular Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, and The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin, but I've also been really getting into psychological science, for example Drunk Tank Pink, The Ghost in My Brain, Atomic Habits. Special mention to Haruki Murakami's Kafka On The Shore for giving me visceral reactions of disgust while reading in public
Films I like: The most recent film I saw that moved me deeply was Nine Days, but also: Drive My Car, Old Boy (original, not the remake), Mother! and Midsommar. Die Hard 1-3 are nostalgic classics for me too
