ARTISTS STATEMENT

Normalerweise fokussiere ich mich auf meine "Problemzonen" und hatte oft das Gefuehl nicht gut genug zu sein. Waehrend dem Shooting und auch beim Aussortieren fand ich diese Problemzonen ploetzlich okay - ja sogar schoen und einzigartig. Anfangs habe ich mit mir gerungen dieses Shooting zu machen, aber meine Liebe zu Fotografie und meine Neugier haben gesiegt und die Vorstellung bei einer Zukunft mizuwirken, in der Erotik Seiten selbstbestimme Menschen zeigen die offen mit ihrer Nacktheit und Sexualitaet umgehen, fand ich sehr aufregend. Ich sehe und fuehle mich anders wenn ich jetzt in den Spiegel schaue und habe das Gefuehl mich besser kennengelernt zu haben. Ich bin als kritische Person in dieses Projekt gegangen und als selbstbewusste Frau wieder rausgegangen. / Usually I focus on my "problem zones" and had often the feeling not to be good enough. During the shoot and also sorting out the photos I found those problem zones suddenly okay - even beautiful and unique. Initially I struggled whether to do the shoot or not, but my love for photography and my curiosity won and the idea of a future where people are open with their nudity and sexuality, was quite exciting to me. I see and feel myself differently now looking in the mirror and I have the feeling to know myself a bit better now. I went as a critical person into that project and walked out as a self confident woman.
