ARTISTS STATEMENT

It's not uncommon for people to have low self esteem. I know I've personally always struggled with insecurities and tend to rate myself below my actual worth. Whenever I'm putting myself out there, especially when it's through my art or music, I'm extremely hard on myself, which can be a good thing because it means I push myself, but on the other hand it's exhausting and often leaves me and my self esteem absolutely shattered. We're constantly evolving as people and lately I've been trying to focus on accepting myself as I am and embrace every imperfection and flaw. This really is the core reason for me participating in I Shot Myself. It was a way for me to try and be more confident in my own skin. In order for me to grow I need to fully embrace who I am. This means embracing every bit of cellulite and every curve.

Why i shot myself: Because I'm trying to be more comfortable with who I am and what I look like and I felt like this is a creative outlet that would facilitate that.
